Earlier this month we took Sara to see the vet for her regular check up. we had been concerned for a short while that her breathing was not as good as it was, so Karen had a good listen, her lungs were very crackly meaning that the westie lung has become worse. Sara has been on tablets since then to help with this, they have made some difference, she seems to have more trouble at night, and the heat the last few days hasn't helped either.
In herself she still our happy go lucky girl, always there to welcome the new fosters and give a guiding paw to those who need it.
She does go out for a stroll sometimes, but prefers to wander around the house and garden, so as not to cause herself too much pain in her hips.

I had the pleaseure of this little darling last week. She is still battling with her Westie-Lung and finds it difficult to walk far. It was a lovely chance for me to spoil her and take some pics of Sara doing what she loves best (or maybe second-best!) Here she is enjoying the rare few hours of sunshine in the garden. Our sweet Sara is so unassuming and humble - just adorable! We luffs you Sara!

Sara left for the bridge last night. She had become less able to manage and her breathing was more laboured. She died in her sleep.
