My goodness! I am so shocked...
Those pictures show just how much her body has suffered. Thank heavens for FOA. I bet she thinks she has won the lottery.
Sara is in our thoughts...my dog is curled up in front of the fire asleep as I type and something tells me he doesn't know how lucky he is!

Sara is doing well, she's fitted straight in. I've even got Phil making her a special sofa of her own ;D because she can't get up onto ours and if we lift her up she can't get down again on her own (not that she minds having her own personal sofa lifta's - me and Phil - ) she is looking forward to coming to the show next week and meeting everyone

Sara went for her first stroll up the mountain path today, She wasn't too happy with the harness and lead at first, but once we got up the path she had a nice stroll around with our Wilf Good old Phil had to carry her home, she just looked up at him with her little eyes and said please I don't want to walk any more and he picked her up, then puffed and panted all the way home with her the softie Just as well it was all downhill

Sara is a happy and well adjusted girl now She can still be a little stubborn when out on the lead but overall enjoys her walks and joins in the excitement when the leads come out She also enjoys a spot of sunbathing in the garden

Sara has been pampered today and looks absolutely gorgeous!! She met Croeso and was such a good girl and I think he fancied her with her new hair-do! . When she came home she was wagging her tail and bouncing on the spot!! Really excited to be back - almost showing off!! I love her to bits

Sara's case is one of the saddest I have dealt with. She reminds me so much of Jet, a black Scottie that arrived in a farmers car boot in the early days of FOA RCT. Jet lived with me for two years and I loved her dearly. The abuse she had received through years and years of over breeding and lack of veterinary attention were too much for her body ever to recover from and after two years of hogging the fire, loving her dinner and her very special place 'her bed' I made the painful decision to let her go to the bridge. I still miss her and she will forever hold a special part of my heart.
Sara is so much like her and when I watch her painful steps and the way she plods about I always think of Jet. I lived in a house with a very flat garden and no steps in those days but this is not the case now or I would have Sara come to live with me in a shot.
Sara you are a very special lady.
