Name: Geordie Age: older gent Breed: yorkie boy Can I live with Children: Can I live with cats: ? Can I live with other dogs: yes Fostered In: S Wales
Other Information:Geordie is a very old Yorkshire terrier who came to us from a pound. He has had a very tough life and was owned by an alcoholic who allowed Geordie to roam and always managed to claim him before his last day at the pound. A month ago his owner left it go too late to claim him and Geordie was moved in to our care by the very wonderful staff at the pound. He has had such a tough life, at some time had a broken jaw, is bald and came in with gross teeth, sore eyes and scabby skin. He also had a lump on one testicle which has been removed as have most of his manky teeth. Geordie has found his perfect home with quite an elderly lady who previously took in an oldie Yorkie and kept him going for a year.

Unfortunately Geordie's new mum has been taken ill and will be in hospital for a while, so Geordie has had to come back to us to look for another new home.

Geordie is back with Eileen where he has settled in again. He went to a wonderful home with a lovely lady and it is so sad that she has had a serious heartattack and will be out of action for a long time.
Geordie had settled there and it is such a shame that he has had to go through another upheaval but he is coping well.
Geordie loves a lap so if you are looking for a little furry friend to cuddle then this is the boy for you.

Geordie has been out of sorts for a few days and off his food. I managed to get him to eat some tuna yesterday but last night he was sick. Jan came and got me in her 4 wheel this morning and we took him to the vets. Things are not looking very hopeful but we have gone ahaead with blood tests and he has had 3 injections to help make him more comfortable. With losing Benji and and Sheila I don't want to face the loss of another one of our special wonky dogs.
Blood results are back and not as bad as expected. One or two levels up slightly and glucose a little low. Will watch him over the weekend for any changes and kepp trying to tempt him to eat.

Geordie has been eating a moutful of cooked chicken but I am really worried about him as he is so frail. Will take him back to the vet this morning. He does not seem to be in any pain but I need to be sure I am keeping him going in his interest and not just because I dread to think of the loss of another of our special dogs.
He has just had a little more to eat and is now sleeping in front of the fire curled up next to Jilly.

I am new to these forums but found the site by chance a couple of weeks ago. When Geordie was available for rehoming I had been told about him but our household wasn't ideal for his needs. I won't waffle on but I just want to say that I am thinking about little Geordie. Although new on here it doesn't take much to see that you, Eileen, are one remarkable person. I hope to get to know you better. Lots of love to Geordie xxxx

Geordie has been to see Karen the vet this morning. She has given him a couple of injections and he has some meds to help with the discomfort of his wobbly back legs and is happy for us to try and pick him up a little longer.
He is happy in his bed by the fire and is eating about a spoonful of cooked chicken at a time.
