IT'S DECEMBER! You know what that means, don't you? Advent! Welcome to our daily advent post with daft Christmas pictures of our foster animals looking festive. Some of the pictures are genuine and some may have been a little...well, enhanced, shall we say! Behind door number 1 is Zac the 3-year old Bichon. He is a shy boy but once he knows and trusts you is very friendly. He is still under assessment at the moment. We feel he would be better off in a quiet home with older people as this is what he has been used to. To view our dogs needing homes, please visit foa-rct.proboards.com/board/39/dogs-looking-homes

Day 3 of Advent and we have these two cuties. Although Paddy Poodle and Lily Westie came to us from two different homes, they both have terrible skin conditions which have proved to be quite difficult to manage. They are having the best of care in their foster homes and will be looking for their forever homes in the new year. We don’t turn animals away because they have medical conditions, but it does mean we have to do a lot of fundraising so we can get them the treatment they need. Your continued support means we can help animals like Paddy and Lily. By joining the Friends of Wonky Towers 500 Club with a donation of just £2 a month can help us continue doing what we do. Please download a form or message us and we can email you one. docs.google.com/file/d/0BzkJ3ZoBuXx9OTdaUkxoWVAtVEU/edit?pli=1

Dylan the dwarf lop rabbit is behind door number 4 and he came to us as an unwanted pet. He has had very little interest so far and would dearly love a home to call his own. In the meantime he is getting into the Christmas spirit and even has his own little festive grotto to enjoy! If you would like to adopt Dylan please complete this online form and an adoption coordinator will be in touch docs.google.com/forms/d/1aAFN4iFrsoQUVnRQyK0pcmIz43fkISRHi44A-2yx94Y/viewform

ADVENT – DAY 7 Alfie and Ada are an older pair of terriers. They have hung up their stockings a little early this year in the hope that Father Christmas will find them a forever home in 2015. They are such an easy pair to have around the house and love their food. Could you offer Alfie and Ada a loving home. If so, we would love to hear from you. Please complete our online adoption form and one of our team will be in touch for a chat. docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dGNOTEFnUl9GbXc1eC1PRGtqT3d1V1E6MQ#gid=0

ADVENT DAY 10 Daisy, Indie and Penny are affectionately known as the Ninjas. Their brothers have all found homes but these three are still waiting for theirs. They are older kittens who are desperate for a home of their own – either together or separately. If you can offer one or all of them a forever home please complete an adoption application and one of our team will be in touch as soon as they can. docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dGJVZGdSaGZqNHdySUpoNWFvTUtlQ1E6MQ.

ADVENT DAY 11 Little Joe has been in his foster home for a few years now. He has several BIG behavioural issues, which has made him very difficult to place in a forever home. Our ‘fraud squad’ fosters in Cheshire keep foster mum Emma on her toes and without foster homes like Emma’s, we would hate to think where dogs like Joe would end up. Your continued support means we can help animals like Joe. By joining the Friends of Wonky Towers 500 Club with a donation of just £2 a month can help us continue doing what we do. DAY 12 Little Dougie was part of an unsold litter and came to us at death’s door some time ago. He was diagnosed with Canine Lupus and has a special diet to follow, along with medication. It is similar to human lupus and it just so happens that his fab foster mum understands him perfectly as she has lupus too. They are a match made in heaven and Dougie is looking wonderful. Your continued support means we can help animals like Dougie. By joining the Friends of Wonky Towers 500 Club with a donation of just £2 a month can help us continue doing what we do. ADVENT DAY 14 Jackie, our cat coordinator, has worked miracles this year. It has been a tough year for cats and kittens and unwanted litters were everywhere. All rescues were full to bursting and we had to turn animals away, which we hate to do. During 2014 we homed in excess of 111 cats and kittens. In total we have found homes for 17 cats, 7 feral cats and 82 kittens. In our care at the moment are 27 kittens and 12 adult cats. Here are our cats looking for new homes www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.313450855336568.92717.145531548795167&type=3

ADVENT DAY 15 Oldie Staffordshire boy Buska was saved after serving his seven days at the pound. His foster mum only took him in temporarily so he could recover from his neutering operation. Within days Buska had made himself at home and it became clear that he wasn’t going anywhere! He will remain on long term foster for the rest of his time here. If you feel you could foster a dog like Buska, either long or short term, please get in touch. docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dGRCbTExZGx5RnNQcjlONXVPV0ZKRGc6MQ
