ADVENT DAY 16 Douglas, or Doug the Rug, as he is affectionately known as in his foster home, is just over 4 months old and is the fluffiest rabbit in the world…ever. He has a bad eye at the moment so is being treated for that before he goes up for rehoming. We are hoping that Douglas will be well enough to find his forever home in the new year.

ADVENT DAY 17 One eyed Jack is on his way to Wales! Jack was found on a beach in Turkey, shot and left for dead. Our rescue co-ordinator was so moved by his story when she went out to Turkey for a holiday. A caring Dutch couple found him and took him to the vets. He was very ill and they feared for his life but Jack pulled through. Eileen met with Jack’s rescuers and carers at Turkish rescue Paws and Claws and after months of fundraising the lovely Jack is spending Christmas in Wales where he will be able to get the veterinary care he needs and with any luck a wonderful new, forever home! ADVENT DAY 18 This little lad on the right is Bill, who is on long-term foster. He is blind and deaf with only two teeth and a back end that doesn't work so good but he is astonishingly happy! He has learned to accommodate the weakness in his back legs by using the front more instead. Bill has a system built for him to enable him to get onto the sofa and he loves being cuddled up next to his foster mam. If you feel you could foster a dog like Bill either long or short term, please get in touch. docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dGRCbTExZGx5RnNQcjlONXVPV0ZKRGc6MQ

ADVENT DAY 19 Pudding was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism and is also on tablets to prevent her reoccurring cystitis. She is an older lady and possibly the most laid back cat we have ever had in! This girl is now on long term foster for the rest of her days so isn’t looking for a home. Your continued support means we can help animals like Pudding get the care and treatment she needs to keep her healthy in her retirement. ADVENT DAY 20 Frankie is our troubled Boston Terrier, who is being fostered with the ‘fraud squad’ in Cheshire. He isn’t up for rehoming at the moment as he’s learning some doggy manners… and he doesn’t look too happy about his Christmas attire either!

ADVENT DAY 21 Gretel is an ex-breeding Bichon Frise who has had to have one eye removed and faces an operation on her remaining eye. She is in one of our fab foster homes and won’t be looking for her forever home just yet. As an ex-breeder she came in to us very nervous and unsure of everything. Now she is playing and enjoying walks with her foster mum and the resident dogs. Her sweet personality is developing and she charms everyone she meets. You can help us help us support Gretel and animals like her by joining the Friends of Wonky Towers 500 Club. A donation of just £2 a month can help us continue doing what we do. Beautiful Cavalier Ben is enjoying life in his foster home at the moment, with the three resident Cavaliers for company. In the new year he will be seeing an eye specialist and possibly facing an operation. As an ex-breeding dog he has spent these last few months getting used to living in a home and adapting to life with regular walks and lots of love. Your continued support means we can help animals like Ben. By joining the Friends of Wonky Towers 500 Club with a donation of just £2 a month can help us continue doing what we. ADVENT DAY 23 Tigger and Buster are behind door number 23. Buster came to us after he was purchased as a puppy and his owners discovered that Buster had hip and leg problems. X-rays showed that both his legs were twisted and painful. Tigger was spotted on a free-ads site when just 8 months old. A Dane x Rottweiler he had been returned to his breeder because the people who purchased him discovered he was wonky. The breeder was unable to fund the x-rays Tigger needed so he came to join us. To aid their recovery they have had numerous physio sessions with Aqua Dogs in Cardiff and even feature in the company’s promotional videos! It takes a lot of dedication and patience to foster dogs like these two and we are hugely thankful for their foster family and others like them.
