Kat - you and Tim are doing brilliantly with her. Look how many positive steps she has made already in only a few days! I think your analysis of her viewpoint on other dogs is absolutely spot on and as she spends more time watching and learning from Bertie and Sheebs, will see that interacting with them is a positive thing. xx

is it just me or are we all hooked on Dolly's updates?
Even what may seem like a small step is in fact a HUGE step for Dolly!
I just have to keep peeking at the photo of Dolly all couched up on the sofa, Kat and Tim she is lucky to have found you.

Dolly is getting some serious pampering - bless her! Can I also detect some life coming back into those eyes - isn't there a hint of a sparkle??

Thank you every one for all your lovely messages. We are really sad of course about her going but we were prepared as since she arrived she just hasn't been able to tolerate them It's okay and we are gutted but have to do what's right for her and mine. I think this week has been good for her anyway as she's come on in little ways and been really comfortable. I really hope the foster home that has offered really happens as I just think it will be amazing for her there. She's a wonderful dog and I'm so glad she's with fota. I'm really glad we tried her here but very sad it's not worked out to the end of her journey,

I met Katrina and Tim at the services and Dolly traveled home ok, she has met my girls and is now on a dog bed looking around her but looks ok, IF slightly bewildered. My girls have given her a LOVELY welcome and she has taken theire hello`s well but did not respond. She has ignored the cats who came to see who is here.
She has chosen a bed by the aga and can watch whats going on, I am pleased about this as my kitchen is the hub of the house and she hasn`t chosen to hide away.
Katrina it was lovely to meet you and I will keep you informed and Thank You for the chocies.
More later

Dolly has eaten ALL her tea and licked the bowl clean, I did add a little of my own dogs food just to encourage her to eat. I sent Katrina a photo of her eating as I thought it might put her mind at rest that Dolly is ok here. Dolly has picked the best dog bed in the house, Eva`s orthopedic one well no one said she shouldn`t be comfy and that will have been sadly lacking in the PF. She is sleeping contentedly, Holly is in the next dog bed just to give her company, near but not crowding her, just as I knew my girls would treat her. Maya my Pomeranian has walked on Dollys bed today and was ignored, Dolly has not reacted to my girls in any way yet, she is taking it ALL in and watching my dogs, cats and me in an interested whats going on sort of way.

Dolly has eaten her breakfast has a wonder outside and come back in again on her own and is now dozing on a dog bed. She seems so tired bless her, I`m sure with lots of food and sleep she will soon put some of the weight on that she needs.
She did have an accident in the night but no matter once she has settled we will begin house training, for now I am happy that she seems to be interested in whats going on here.
My girls are staying near but not crowding her, just gentle reassurance that it is ok here, Eva seems to have taken to her and slept near her in the kitchen last night.

Well done Dolly , eating all your brekkie ;)eat up and keep on eating and get a bit of weight on...it might take a good while , they can be hard to build . She's obviously a normal OES as my two ( and Paddy ) have ettid their brekkie and are now curled up asleep....on my bed tho EVA I did wonder if Dolly and her might form a wee gang, kindred spirits I guess....it'll do her good to have Eva guide her and tell her life can be great

Marls has just had his porridge and goats milk and is asleep on his bed also so thats 4 lazy OES ;D I'm trying to bulid Marls up at the moment as he is very underweight (beef allergy and colitus). You have to go very slowly with a OES as most have a very sensitive tum. Out of the tribe i have had only 1 could eat anything he wanted. I'm glad Eva has took to her .It will be a great help to Dolly to have Eva to show her what life can be about Julianne and Marls
