Today I made the sad decision to let Buster, Buster make his way to The Bridge.
Buster, Buster -so bad we named him twice !!(With apologies to Frank Sinatra !) Buster came to us just over eight years ago as an eight week old Feral kitten. He was fearful of everything when he first joined us but as time passed he learnt to trust me, then Chris and eventually other human beings - it took many years. He lived as a Barn Cat ( With luxury accommodation of course- including heating !) Buster, Buster grew to love human company , tolerated the attentions of the pups, BUT hated other cats ... ! He was self anointed Top Cat and was battered and often injured in his efforts to maintain his position to the extent her ( literally ) progressed from ' cauliflower ears ' to no ears at all .. !! Sadly last weekend he again took on an unknown foe and this time lost the battle. Despite visiting the Vet every day this week, today I knew it was time to say goodbye. I'm going to miss you Buster- sitting by the back door every morning and evening expecting your meals at the same time as the pups, sneaking into the house when you thought I didn't see you... ! You were a real character and a gentle, loving purring bundle of puddy tat. Play nicely at The Bridge Buster - till we meet again- God Bless Mum x

Thanks everyone, We are missing ' the big guy' as out vet called him. but to us he was Buster , Buster, He started life as 'Sandy ' but Buster became far more appropriate ( Buster grew into the role !) Somehow I imagine the cats in our little Hamlet sleep a little easier at night .... !! See you at The Bridge Buster.
