This afternoon Podge moved from mine to a local foster home with a lady called Pat whop has fostered for us in the past. She has experience of blind dogs and fostered another oldie lad until he went to the bridge.
Pat has a little JRT who can be a little bit of a madam but we spent some time on introductions so fingers crossed all will be well.
Pat is going to be feeding Podge up and making sure he gets lots of short walks building up his stamina.
He is a bit growly but this is a defense mechanism and as long as you let him know you are Tyree he is fine. He like to come and put his head in your lap for a scratch but does not his hips or back legs touched.

Things have not worked out for Podge in his foster home and he and the little JRT as not getting on. He keeps having a nose in her bed and she is not happy about it. He is also restless and crying.
I am going to briong him back here and see how things are. If he continues to be distressed we may have to make some tough decisions but will wait and see.

Podge has been to the vets this morning.. He has had some initial blood tests done which have shown as normal so I am not willing to give up on him yet.
We will look for a more suitable foster place where he can have some stability and where it is a quieter dog wise that at mine. In the meantime he will stay with me.

Great to hear the tests were ok, good luck Podge, the right happy home is out there, lets hope you will soon find it, and be happy.
