Oh dear, poor Coco. Wonder what his history is poor old boy At least he is in good hands now - nobody like FOA RCT for finding a place for the golden oldies

We were first asked to take all three becsause the owner is working very long hours and the dogs are being left. The owners gave Dylan in and then felt Pixie was not happy as she had no one to play with. Ww did ask him about Coco and would she be lonely but he felt she would be ok. It seems that she is not so he has made the heartbreaking decision to part with her. he has had her since she was a puppy.

Oh indeed, a very sad story, as I suspected and as is so often the case. Cavaliers are such sociable little dogs and absolutely love to be with other Cavaliers. I'm not surprised poor Coco wasn't happy home alone. Is Coco a boy or a girl, by the way? Funnily enough, I have a Coco here at the moment - a toy poodle on holiday with me while owners are in Lanzarote. Will put a picture on another thread shortly. Meanwhile, everything crossed here in Worcs for a lovely foster home for Coco, who must be one of the oldest dogs you've ever taken in, at least since I've been on this forum

Coco is home with me. He is a dear little man who is a bit bewildered by the gang here. He has a mild heart murmur and what seems a fatty lump on his tummy. His back legs seem a little stiff but otherwise he seems ok.
He is going to the vet in the morning for a check up and we will start his vaccinations again.

Do you think he would be ok with pixie and 3 other gentle cavaliers?

Coco has neen to the vet today. he has a mild heart murmur bit dfdoes not need meds. He does have dry eye, more so in his left, and he is now on artifical tears and also some Optimune to see if that will help. His skin his a little a bit scaly but some baths sould help that and he also has some stiffness in his back legs.
The vet thinks he is ok for a 14 year old Cavalier.
