Today I had the pleasure of meeting a most beautiful sweet little Cavvie girl called Katie. We collected her from Castle Donnington in the transport run, those big brown eyes just melt your heart. She was scared very unsure of what was going to happen to her, she settled for a while in the car with Nemo & Mia and was a little happier. When we started on our journey home she sat in the floor well by Neil's feet but as soon as the car moved she gently jumped up onto his knee and spent the rest of the journey snuggled up in his arms.
When we got back here she wasn't to sure about walking on the lead so I picked her up to bring her inside. She met the rest of my lot quite confidently and was soon trotting down the steps into the garden with them. It was wonderful and a special feeling to see her, head held high with her little tail wagging away [image] she was really good and had a couple of wee's outside.
She explored the house rather nervously but saw no scarey monsters lurking in any corners and became a little more confident to walk over to Neil for a little fussing. The doors were open so she could go where she wanted, she trotted off outside again for another wee bless her.
Around 4pm she had some visitors who came in and sat down on the floor immediately at her level not making any sudden movements towards her. I took her to her new Mum who happens to be called Kate, little Katie soon snuggled up in her arms no fear showing in her eyes. After a good length of time they brought in Bonnie, their beautiful Cavvie girl. She very sweetly and gently nosed around Katie to see just who was this little girl on the floor in front of her. Their was no bombarding her, no grumbling just a gentle sniffing around, I think she showed her approval when she laid within a few inches of Katie and fell asleep snoring away [image]
Needless to say little Katie went off to her new home today with a really lovely new Mum, Dad and her big sister Bonnie, she will also have a little boy to play with when he's grown. I know Katie will have a super home with them, they fell in love within minutes of meeting.
Don't you just love seeing the pleasure on the new families face when they walk away with their little one? It was a pleasure to meet Katie she is such a sweetheart, good luck little one and thank you for the little bit of sunshine you brought into our lives today.
