My darling Mitzi it is 5 years today since you went to the Bridge. My beautiful girl....everyone loved you children, adults, big dogs, little dogs, rabbits...every creature that met you. You were taken far too young, soon after your 9th Birthday from that horrible heart condition that has been bred into Cavaliers. I will always love you and will never forget you..until we meet again to cross the Bridge...take care, have loads of fun and cuddle up and play with all the other animals there... I don't have many photos of you on the PC..but here is one taken when you were a Bridesmaid at our wedding in 1999 ;D My beautiful Cuddly Wuddly Woo Mummy loves you XXXXXX Katherine XXX

Thank you..she was my first dog..not a rescue (as I didn't know about rescue then)...
I know everyone thinks their dog is the best naturally...but honestly Mitzi did have a very special quality that drew people to her. A one hour walk would take 2 hours as people kept stopping us to meet with her.
I remember once at a carnival , that so many children wanted to play with her that I sat them all down in a large circle, so they could all join in gently....I felt a bit like the Pied Piper..
Karen...her Kennel name was Lily... ;D

What beautiful eyes she had, I can see why she was such a draw to everyone, it matter not a day or year, we still shed that very sad tear, but they never really leave us, as they leave paw prints in our hearts. Keep running free Mitzi, knowing you are still loved, missed and remembered.

Oh Katherine, I didn't know you had had a Cavalier - and what a gorgeous one at that. My first ever Cav was also a Black and Tan - there's something extra magical about them I think. So many people on here (and other forums I belong to) have lost their precious Cavs to the dreaded heart disease, including me, so we all know exactly how you feel. As others have said, they live on in our hearts forever and ever.

Oh floods of tears here too What an absolutely beautiful girl and so tragic to lose her at 9... She was obviously incredibly special, Cavaliers have only one fault, they break your heart when they leave you [and sadly so often that is because their hearts are broken from that horrid MVD] Thank you for sharing this lovely photo and your stories about her x Love from the Cavalier Clan here and our Cavalier Angels at the bridge

What a beautiful girl she was. Life can be very cruel - I have had a couple of my beautiful shih tzu girls stolen from me at such a young age so know how hard it is... but they do leave their pawprints in our hearts.
I can quite see how she was admired by all such beautiful eyes - the mirror to the soul xxxxxx
