Charlotte is an ex breeding bitch and only two years old. She had a nasty umbilical hernia and that has been repaired whenshe was spayed. She has had her 1st vac.
She is a delighful friendly girl who will need help to learn about housetraining, lead walking etc.
We usually only home ex breeding dogs where there is already another dog to help them learn.
Charlotte has very hairy ear canals which will need regular attention.
ADOPTED AUGUST 2008
FROM SUZY HER NEW MUM
Sorry I've been so long posting but been very busy with our new girl! She's been renamed Heidi.
She gets on very well with Zak, so far there's been no disputes at all. She kept us awake most of Sunday night - making us tired and bleary eyed on Monday.
On Monday we let her settle in and tried some house training, and to teach her to use the dog flap. She walks beautifully on the lead and isn't bothered by anything strange on her walks. Played with Zak a little bit (chasing) and they shared her new toy A very quiet night in her crate and she asked to be let out at 7.20 which was brilliant.
Today she went to the vet to be micro chipped and she is on a short course of anti-biotics for a cough she has. Other than that, he pronounced her fit and well and the perfect weight and shape. Bless. We bought a ridiculously girly silver collar and lead - with diamante - hubby even pronounced it OK and better than pink!!
Took them for a walk via car to Clevedon today (they slept side by side in the car - aaaw). Heidi enjoyed sniffing the sea-weedy air and being admired by the passers by - in fact she was very blatant and actually stopped to be adored! As is only right and proper.
We all love her to bits and she's being such a good girl (apart from the chew she stole today)
No accidents at all in the house today, and once she followed Zak back through the dog flap.
We would all like to thank everyone for letting us have this gorgeous girl, thanks to Kathryn for all the help and arranging the home vetting, thanks to Eileen (and for everything she does, it was an honour to meet her) and thanks to Jan and her lovely family for letting us use her home to meet and collect Charlie - now Heidi. She's so cute.....
I know I mustn't keep posting pics but I'm such a proud new Mummy!! Heidi has only had one accident in the house for the last 4 days (and that was my fault). She has such funny little ways, hurling herself at you when she wants a cuddle on a lap, staring at you for a really long time (what is she thinking?) and running everywhere before bedtime.
Her new (very pink) toys!
