Georgia is our gorgeous little Lhasa girl, here's the first photo we saw of her. She hadn't been ill treated she was a hand in from a breeder and had a grade 1 heart murmur but didn't need meds for it.
We already had Deeber, Megan, Paddington and Zebedee so weren't looking to increase our little family however when Georgi was first posted on the DP's forum by FOAS I just fell in love with her. I showed her pic to DH who thought she was gorgeous too but walked out of the door saying 'No we don't want another one'. I just thought oh yes we do I would sign in and eagerly look through the list heart stopping to see if her thread was near the top or if the little lock symbol was beside her name. DH walked into the room a while after saw I was looking at her photo and asked hadn't she been snapped up yet. I answered of course not how can she be when she's supposed to be here. He started asking questions occasionally about her, what was her history, had she been ill treated. Then one day came the moment I'd been waiting for, he shouted from his room asking if Georgia was still available, I was actually on her thread but nonchalantly said I'd have to go and look I shouted no she was still there, then the words......Go and ask Eileen if she can come to us then.....
Of course I pm'd Eileen immediately and waited eagerly for her reply and like the man from Delmonte she said YES!! We made arrangements to collect her. When my sis and I first saw her she was like a buttermilk colored rug and melted our hearts. She snuggled up under my chin and licked my neck. She felt sooo good. She was great in the car, settle down and even when I'd dropped my sis home she settle down again whilst I drove home.
DH came out to meet me as I drew up, she fit in so well from the first day. Like Megan she followed Deeber around and the 2 of them were often to be found curled up against her tummy. We'd only had her a week when we went on holiday to the Lakes. She doesn't like traveling very much and gets car sick but once there she loved it. She was as good as gold loving all the new adventures and although I think she'd be kenneled when with the breeder she only had 1 accident the first night she came to us, which wasn't really her fault I didn't recognise her signal to go out.
She bonded really well with her Dad that week and is very much a daddy's girl. She is a delight to have around, she's the family clown, she's a hussy and will flirt with any male dogs and men she meets You can't help but love Georgia she grows on you and gently roots into your heart. She steals clothes, very often I can be in my sewing room and look up to see a piece of clothing slowly going past my door, get up and Georgia is at the front end of it! We call her Georgi Porjy, she loves her food so we have to watch her weight. She too likes cheese straw and really anything for treats. She's gobby when out walking or if a fly goes past the window. She's always the first one to start the barking off. Our little man Zebedee who's now at the bridge had some aggression issues but he loved her, it was wonderful to see the first time she got him chasing and playing as Shiddies do, soppy me cried to see him chasing after her, he loved it and don't tell him I've told you but DH had tears in his eyes too. She missed him a lot when he went to the bridge.
She is very loving and loves to cuddle and snuggle, she sleeps on my bed and each night has to have her 10mins of cuddle and snuggles then will move down to the bottom of the bed. Like the others she likes to follow me about, I have my own entourage and feel like a queen
This is our little girl now, full of fun and mischief, she came into our lives and brought a massive ray of sunshine and it hasn't rained since
Thank you again FOAS for letting us adopt our lovely girl. Isn't she gorgeous?
