This one is from me to all of you.
This has been a very difficult year and one of, at times, great personal sadness for me. I have come close on a couple of occasions to throwing in the towel and giving up. The only thing that has kept me going is the support of friends and the desire to do as much as possible to help rescue animals.
We have been so very busy, there have been so many animals needing help and at times we have nearly sunk both physically and financially. We have sailed so close to the wind but have managed, although sometimes only just, to stay afloat.
This has only been possible with the support of you all. We have brilliant staff, volunteers and supporters and I am filled with awe and admiration at how you are there and doing all you do. Every one of you makes a difference and although I don't always remember to say thank you or maybe acknowledge the work you do it is never because it is not appreciated or valued.
I know I sometimes drive you mad waiting for a response or an answer that may only take 5 minutes. The trouble is there are only so many 5 minutes in an hour and time so often just runs out before everything that should be done is attended to. The dogs or cats always have to come first and good intentions go out the window when a call comes about an urgent case. This is never ever because I am not grateful .
Every one of you has helped rescue the sad puppyfarmed dogs, the strays, the unloved and unwanted, the mistreated or the cherished pet of someone who has died or whose personal circumstances mean they have to part with a cherished friend.
There are only a few weeks left of this year and we are leading up to what is one of our busiest times. I will be so glad to see this year out and a new one in. I have already started to think about all the things we need and want to do next year but felt I needed to take a few minutes out to thank each and every one of you.

That's a really nice thing to say but I honestly think it is you that needs the biggest thank you.
You started FOTA and have kept it going for all this time and lets face it, it's brilliant. You have rescued and helped so many animals and I truly believe that is something to be incredibly proud of. You do a brilliant job, so well done and thank you. ;D

Oh Eileen ! Words fail me ! Nobody but nobody, works harder, longer or sacrifices more than you do. You've had a terrible year and yet still you carry on. Your strenght and determination is what drives everyone else on and inspires those who work alongside you. Don't ever feel you have to apologise for delays in replying to e mails or messages etc. You are doing the important work and sometimes YOU need to be reminded just how important that is to all of us. So THANK YOU !!! 'cos without you there would not be FOA-RCT . As my bruvver would say ''The girl done good '' !!!

Got to agree, the Thanks go to you Eileen, you and your team have done so much for all the animals that come your way, and we all understand that the animals come first, long may you continue to float above water, and I think I can speak for all on this site that should you start to flounder we will be here to help where we can, and without you I would not have Jack and Lady, so THANK YOU.
