Sophie the Lab will have hip xrays next week. She is well. Is now wearing a DAP collar which does help the dogs to be less stressed and anxious. She loves Claire and is walked on two leads at all times.
Pongo the Dalmatian has the all clear on his bloods. Waiting results on urine tests and looks like xrays next week.
Taffy the Patterdale pup will be having surgery on his broken leg next week.
Rosie the Springer is being monitored and is on loads and loads of meds. Her bladder is there but in the wrong place. Surgery may be a possibility.
Rhys our choccy lab pupster is back to see the specialist next week.
Mc Fee and McFly the Westies both improving and there is a homing thread up now for McFly. Hopefully both will be off to foster homes very soon.
Stanley the Chinese Crested is much improved and a homing thread is being opened for him. He will be homed from Wales to avoid additional stress.
Pickle the tiny JRT with a hole in the roof of her mouth continues doing ok but is still a bit food phobic. This week we found she loves chips so she is having naughty portions of those to try and put some weight on. Hole is slightly smaller so all going well so far.
Buster will be coming to Wales shortly for his operation. It does seem there is an issue with his hips as well as his knee so now much more surgery involved.
Stewie one of the two dumped on the mountain is still very frightened and cannot be touched. he is eating well and he loves the other dogs in my house. He has put on a little weight plays with Ivy and Penny and is now in love with the Poms. Stewie will need a long term foster home to help him overcome his fear. he is not aggressive bu twill needs bucket loads of understanding and patience and time to learn to trust again. I hate to think what has happened to this little JRT in the past so make him so terrified.
Rick the other one is in kennels and is a more confident dog. Claire is wrking with him and he now comes to say hello. he is wearing a buster collar at the moment but that will come off in a few days. he is looking much better and hopefully will be off to a foster home soon.
Katie one of the Cirn x Westie sisters in Foster with Pauuline and Phil had a dental this week. She had several teeth removed and the others cleaned.
Titch the tiny oldie toy poodle also fostered by Pauline is doing well and if the right home appears he will be made available for adoption. the home must be to Pauline and Phils approval.
Madge the very old stray terrier fostered also by Pauline and Phil has come on leaps and bounds since she had her tumors removed. She is very doddery and is on meds, We are still looking for a suitable long term foster home for her locally.
Please ask about anyone I have overlooked.
