Can I live with Children: No young children
Can I live with cats: Yes

Fostered In: Cardiff
Maisie is a 3-year old Shih Tzu who is being fostered in Cardiff, South Wales. She wags her tail and jumps up for kisses when her foster mum comes home and loves to be fussed. She likes to jump on the sofa and lay next to mum and sleep on the bed at her feet. She carries her toys around the house and will run off with any item of clothing she can pinch. She does snore sometimes which can be quite loud.
People – Maisie is very wary of all people other than her foster mum. She is very loving towards mum giving kisses jumping up to be fussed. Maisie stays very nervous for quite a while after visitors have left and still looks at the door way looking for them expecting them to be still there.
Dogs – She gets on with the other dogs in her foster home. She does follow the others around the house but she likes her own space and doesn't try to cuddle up to them. She likes to lay in her own bed or jump on the sofa. She is very interested in dogs she meets out on walks but just looks from a distance.
Cats – She does not pay any attention to the resident cat or other cats out on her walks
In the home – She has only been left alone for about 30 mins and was fine not destructive or anything. She likes to pinch things and will chew them if they aren't taken off her. She will pinch items of clothes, socks etc and likes to bite them and loves to carry all her toys to her bed.
Out and about – She is still getting used to having a harness put on and walking on a lead. She walks by her foster mum’s side and wanders to sniff and smell but doesn’t pull.
Type of home – A very patient home with not too young children. We think she would possibly be OK as an only dog or as a second dog as she likes all the attention. If a couple adopted her they would have to be prepared to take it in turns to feed and give her treats and to walk her so she doesn't become attached to one person only.
Maisie is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Cardiff, South Wales.
