[Name: Olaf
Age: 3 years old
Breed: Cavalier King Charles x Collie
Can I live with Children: Yes
Can I live with cats: Not tested
Can I live with other dogs: Yes
Fostered In: RCT, South Wales
Olaf is a 3-year old Cavalier King Charles cross Collie boy is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. He was handed in from a home and is now ready to find that special family to give him a second chance.
People – Olaf loves people big and small. He is happy around respectful older children and would thrive in a family home.
Dogs – Olaf can live with other dogs and is currently fostered with several of different shapes and sizes.
Cats – Olaf has not been cat tested.
In the home – Olaf loves his people. He can get a bit unsettled when left and is not crate trained. Crating Olaf would only see a rise in his stress levels so we are looking for a home where his humans are around for the majority of the day and he is a big part of his new family. He is housetrained but with a move to a new home may have the odd accident until settled.
Out and about – Ok, so let’s ignore the cute, cuddly Cav part and focus on the collie bit! Olaf is an active boy who will need a lot of exercise. Currently he pulls like a train on the lead so wears a harness on walks. He is well socialised and fine when meeting other dogs. We think he would be the ideal candidate for agility to keep both his mind and body busy.
Type of home – Olaf would be perfect in an active, family home where someone is home for the majority of the day. He has exhibited some separation anxiety so this will need to be taken into account by his adopters. He gets on well with children and other dogs. Olaf would also benefit from some further training and would enjoy agility.
Olaf is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in RCT, South Wales.
