Fostered In: RCT, South Wales
Daffodil is a typically feisty five-month old West Highland Terrier puppy who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. She is looking for a fun, active home where her family will take her to puppy training classes.
People – Daffy loves people big and small. As she hasn’t had much training and is still a baby she can get mouthy so we will not rehome her with younger children.
Dogs – Little Miss Feisty is great with other dogs but like most puppies – especially terriers – does like to push her luck. She will not be rehomed with an old dog as the poor soul wouldn’t get any peace. We will however be happy to consider applications from anyone who has a younger dog that would put Daffy in her place!
Cats – If there are any cats in the household they will have to be very dog savvy and be prepared to stand up to the torment from this little chaser!
In the home – Daffodil is great in the home but is a puppy so her adopters will have to ensure they are around for most of the day to work on her housetraining and watch her just in case she finds things to chew that she shouldn’t. She sleeps soundly at night with other dogs for company according to her foster family.
Out and about – Daffy hasn’t yet had her full course of vaccinations so hasn’t been out and about that much. She has coped well at the vets and in the car. She will need further training walking on the lead when the time comes.
Type of home – Daffodil will need regular walks for both physical and mental stimulation. She can live with another dog but one that has the energy to keep up with her. Her adopters will need to be at home for most of the day too as she is still a puppy. Any children in the house need to be old enough to realise that puppies can get mouthy when they play. She has not been cat tested but we know she will chase them so the cat will have to put her in her place!
Daffodil needs to be neutered at six months old and this will be the responsibility of the adopter. She is microchipped, will be fully vaccinated and is up to date with her flea and worming treatment. It will be part of the rehoming agreement that adopters take Daffodil to puppy training classes. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Rhondda South Wales.
