Name: Anna
Age: 3-4 months old
Breed: Cavalier x Miniature Schnauzer
Can I live with Children:Yes
Can I live with cats: Not tested
Can I live with other dogs: Yes
Fostered In: Bridgend, South Wales
Anna is a 3-4 month old Cavalier cross Miniature Schnauzer who is being fostered in Bridgend, South Wales. She came to us with a bacterial skin infection which was mainly evident around her eyes. She has been treated for this and despite no specific diagnosis this has now cleared up.
People – Anna loves people, young or old.
Dogs – Anna is sociable with other dogs and live with two in her foster home. She will need ongoing training and socialisation such as puppy training classes to ensure that she learns well.
Cats – Anna hasn’t been cat tested but due to her age we think she is trainable and able to live with cats if her new owners are willing to work with her.
In the home – Anna is a baby so will need further help with housetraining. She sleeps well at night in a crate and settles when left.
Out and about – Anna travels well in the care but as yet hasn’t been allowed out on the lead for a walk because her vaccinations are not complete. She will need further help with her lead training when she moves to her new home and ongoing socialisation.
Type of home – NO FULL TIME WORKERS PLEASE. Anna would happily live with sensible children but she is a bit mouthy so any children in the home should be older and be taught how to cope with this until she learns right from wrong. As she is a puppy she can’t be left for any length of time and will need people around for most of the day.
Anna is chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. She will be rehomed with a neutering contract and this will be the responsibility of her adopters when she reaches 6 months. Follow up checks will be carried out. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Bridgend, South Wales.
