Name: Teddy
Age: 9 months
Breed: Cavalier cross Bichon
Can I live with Children:Gentle over fives
Can I live with cats: Yes
Can I live with other dogs: Yes, please!
Fostered In: Crosskeys, near Newport
Teddy is a 9 month old Cavalier King Charles cross Bichon Frise, who is being fostered just outside of Newport, South Wales. He has come from a home environment and is a wonderful all-round companion – well mannered, clean in the house and a bundle of puppy fun.
People – Teddy is very people orientated and adores them all – young and old. He has only met children over five years old who are used to dogs so we would be looking to rehome him with children of this age as he is still a bouncy pup.
Dogs – We would like to see Teddy rehomed with another dog. He loves having a canine companion in his foster home and another confident dog will help him become a little braver. While on walks he is getting better approaching new dogs.
Cats – Teddy is still learning about cats. He lives with in his foster home and does pop over to say hello sometimes and ends up being batted on the nose. We think with continued training he will happily live with cats.
In the home – Teddy isn’t put in a crate in his foster home as he doesn’t need one. He is left for short periods with another dog for company and copes very well.
Out and about – This little chap is still a puppy and is still learning about how to walk on the lead. He does need ongoing training in this area and will pull when out for walks. He currently has a harness to help with this. Puppy classes would help Teddy in many areas and we recommend that his new adopters enrol him as soon as possible. He copes well at the groomers and loves the attention – he even fell asleep!
Type of home – A home where his humans are around for most of the day and have time to develop his training. Teddy is a clever boy and loves to learn – in fact, he absorbs everything like a sponge. He can live with children over five, would love a doggy companion and can live with cats. An active home where his family are ready for his ongoing grooming requirements is a must.
Teddy is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in Crosskeys, South Wales.
