Name: McGregor Age: 5 years old Breed: Bichon Frise Can I live with Children:Quiet teens Can I live with cats: Yes Can I live with other dogs: Yes, a must Fostered In: RCT, South Wales People – This little chap is very cautious and untrusting around people. He will need space in his new home and be allowed to come round in his own time and build trust with his new family. If he is pushed to interact with people he will shut down. Due to this we are looking for an adult-only home or one with older, quiet teens. He wouldn’t be able to cope with the business and volume of young children! Dogs – Given his past and his difficulties in interacting with humans he will only be rehomed where there is a gentle resident dog for company. This will help build his confidence in the long term and show him the ropes in his new home. Cats – McGregor is fine to live with cats. In the home – He is fine in the home – he prefers to eat alone due to his nerves and does avoid human contact at all cost. His personality is beginning to develop though and he treats his foster family to a little Bichon dance at meal times! Out and about – We haven’t managed to get to this stage with Mac yet. As his confidence grows his new adopters will need to work on lead walking and his social skills but he is a way away from that at the moment. Type of home – A very patient and quiet home that is willing to let Mac ‘just be’. No fussing, minimum attention and when the time comes he will need help with walking on the lead, grooming, social development. Adults only or understanding older teens. He will need another dog for company and can live with cats. McGregor is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in RCT, South Wales. imageshack.com/a/img923/2569/xDjRyY.jpg

McGregor is settling in well with his new foster family and has even started playing with toys with some help from his foster brother!

McGregor is starting to look something like a Bichon now displaying a lot of the usual mannerisms. He dances at meal times and has a delightful little bark. He is still wary around humans but is getting better day by day. He is mischievous with a habit for pinching dad's shoes! A lovely little fella who has had a rough start!
