Name: Peppa
Age: 2 years
Breed: Pug x Jack Russell terrier
Can I live with Children:Older ones
Can I live with cats: No
Can I live with other dogs: Submissive dog, experienced dog owners
Fostered In: Crosskeys, Gwent
People – Peppa is the most loving dog and her tail wags all the time. She loves to be stroked and made a fuss of, she’s a real people dog. She can live with dog savvy children aged from 6 years upwards. Peppa’s training is ongoing as she doesn’t know many commands but she’s learning quickly.
Dogs – Peppa gets on fine with most dogs but can be a little selective. She does like to feel as if she’s in charge so will only be rehomed with another dog if the home can demonstrate they are dog experienced to cope with any issues. It would be best if she’s homed as an only dog or with a calm dog of her own size. She doesn’t like sharing her food but will share her toys with them.
Cats – Peppa chases cats so we feel a cat free home would be better for her
In the home – Peppa can be a bit of a diva so she’s better behaved with a few firm rules in place. Her foster mum doesn’t allow her on her lap or pick her up when on a walk. The cutest thing she does is shut her eyes when you tell her off! She hasn’t been left on her own for long periods of time as her foster home has other dogs and are no working but she’s never been destructive. Peppa can jump 4 foot fences so boundaries need to be at least 5 feet high. She is house trained.
Out and about – Peppa walks well on a lead but hasn’t been tried off lead. She is as good as gold in the car.
Type of home – Peppa is looking for a dog experienced home, ideally would be the only dog in the home or have a small submissive dog as a companion. She loves to be out and about on walks where everyone falls in love with her. She will need her humans around most of the time, but could live with part time workers. She will need further training and firm boundaries so she continues to behave well. With work and commitment you will have a wonderful friend and companion full of character.
Peppa is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Crosskeys, Gwent
