Name: Sasha
Age: 10 weeks
Breed: Labrador
Can I live with Children: 5+
Can I live with cats: Yes
Full time working home: No
Can I live with other dogs: Will only be rehomed with another dog
Fostered In: Pontypridd RCT
People – Sasha is a beautiful girl inside and out and loves being with you. She likes to know her loved ones are close by. She is happy to cwtch at your feet although I’m sure it won’t be long before she finds her way up to the sofa! She’s great with children as she’s going to grow quite big she may knock a toddler over so probably over 5 year olds used to dogs would be best.
Dogs – Sasha is very sociable and enjoys playing with the other pup in her foster home. Her favourite game is tug of war with her. She’s a bit nervous of bigger bouncier dogs at first but soon gets used to them.
Cats – She hasn’t been tested but is young enough to learn.
In the home – Sasha hasn’t been left on her own as she is a puppy and needs someone around most of the time. She is fine on her own if you leave the room for 10 minutes and this is gradually being built up. She has been good and not chewed anything so far but as she starts teething this will change and plenty of chew toys will be needed. She is a very laid back puppy but does try to squeeze through doors when you open them! At night she sleeps in a puppy pen with one of the other dogs as she doesn’t like being on her own. House training is a work in progress.
Out and about – Sasha isn’t able to go for a walk at the moment, she will be able to once she is fully vaccinated. Lead training can then be started. She travelled well in the car to the vets where they all adored her.
Type of home – Sasha would like a home where her humans are around to keep her company and take her for long walks as she grows. Someone with similar breed experience would be ideal and she could live in a family home as long as the children were sensible. As a young pup she needs work with lead training and house training as well as exposing her to new sounds and situations to help her development.
Sasha is chipped and had her 1st vaccination. She is up to date with her flea and worming treatment. She is currently not neutered but will be rehomed with a neutering contract, which will state she needs to be neutered at 6 months or advise of a vet. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Pontypridd RCT, South Wales.
