I’m Peppa the Shit tzu. I am a totally adorable little girl who is finally able to look for my forever home. I say finally as I’ve had some health issues with my knees – I’ve recently had surgery to repair luxating patella on both of my knees…ouch! I’m better now though, and apparently ready to leave my lovely foster home.
In my foster home, there are two other dogs. It took me a while to get used to them (I used to bark at them), but I’m ok with them now. I sometimes growl when I meet new dogs, but foster mum says with careful, gradual introductions to newbies, this is improving. I love cats, but cats don’t love me. I like to chase them, you see? Yeah, they don’t like that.
I am quite happy to be left alone in the house, but I do love my people. I am happy to be crated, in fact, this is where I choose to sleep. I’ve never been destructive in the home though, so I can be allowed to roam around without causing bother. I love my toys, and I growl when one of the foster dogs tries to take them but I don’t mind if the other one tries to play. I can get a bit grumpy if the other dogs are near me when I eat, but I’m ok with the peoples coming near me. Although I can be a little bit of a nervous Nelly, I love to have cwtches from the peoples. I am well behaved when being groomed and at the vets.
When out and about in the car, I love to ride shotgun in the passenger seat, but sometimes I have to sit in the backseat with foster mum’s boys. I don’t mind this though because I love children. My hooman foster brothers give me lots of fuss and attention, but they know not to be rough with me or to pick me up as I’m not that keen. I love the play fetch and other doggy games, and I also love to cwtch up on the sofa with the children. Some may say I’m spoilt with all this love, but I think I’m worth it. I travel happily and quietly. I am a good girl when out and about and walk well on the lead. I love my walk….if you are my new family, please promise to take me on lots of fun walks where I can enjoy new smells and experiences. I can be nervous when we come across new people – I like to bark when people come to the door, partly because I’m nervous, but also because I need to make sure everybody knows that somebody is at the door. It sometimes takes me a while to settle (this is something foster mum is helping me with), but once I am comfortable, I enjoy spending time with all the peoples. I am learning tricks like sit and lie down, but I prefer to roll around on my back for a tummy tickle!
Peppa would like a home where she will be someone's treasure, she loves ruby so could happily live with another small laid back dog but probably wouldn't like to live with a big dog as she's not great with the resident Boxer dog. Peppa is very funny and affectionate and you will have a lifelong friend once she knows you.
Peppa is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in South Wales.
If you feel you could provide a suitable home for darling little Peppa, please fill out an adoption enquiry form and one of our team will be in touch.
