Some days in rescue are really tough, in fact a lot of days in rescue are really tough. We have had some recently and we are so worried about Betty, Willow and Skippy especially and they have our prayers and positive get well thoughts whilst we wait to hear if there will be the outcomes that we want for them. Our many Wonky Dog and Cat Club members that have ups and downs and need our ongoing support and help. Amongst that sadness though there is always something that will lift our hearts and dry the tears. This photo is such. Our beautiful little abandoned stray Venus who broke our hearts when she was found in such a sad and cruel condition has been in a foster home and is doing so well. Fosterers are the backbone of our rescue and without them there would be no FOARCT. They are unpaid volunteers who do what they do for the love of animals, they ask for no thanks except the joy of seeing an animal mend and then shine so that a perfect forever home can be found. We admire and love them for their massive hearts. Venus and her friend Minx now and as she was when found.

Bless her,I could shed a million tears for some of the poor souls that come through this rescue, in fact sometimes it is a little too much for me,but to see outcomes like this one makes my heart lighter, thank you all so very much.
