Hi guys just coming through a stressful 24hrs, not sure if you remember Tigger and Buster?,
just decided to share lol!
Both have hip problems and so it is important for them not to be fat.
Buster is dieting and has nearly reached his goal weight , he is always after food as a typical lab but is doing so well now he has lost his weight.
Tigger has food intolerance according to Maes Glas vets (he is itching his years and feet and bum)
We are trying to rule out the allergic food. (at present on Burns allergy )With tigger we are trying to build up his muscles and strength to help him walk.
yesterday tigger developed the runs and buster then developed horrible sickness
we have been bucketing down the yard for 24 hours,
i have starved them since lunchtime yesterday and we have not had an event this morning fingers crossed
i have been reading all day about the parvo outbreak in the valleys and feeling fairly saddened and scared by it.
i am hoping that later today when i introduce some rice they will tolerate this and a vets visit is not needed but am keeping a close eye on both these forlorn boys.
it is a difficult decision on when to seek advice and when not to.
