Our lovely Kimbo left for the Bridge this morning. He took with him a piece of Trevor's and my heart! . He fitted in from the moment he arrived almost two years ago.He liked all his lady friends but shared a special bond with Lilly my Chihuahua Although he shared his charms around by cuddling up to who ever looked cosy With Patsy With Flora He loved his food and would always be first in the queue for a treat! He would often climb in the smallest bed for a snooze It has been our absolute pleasure to look after him. We will miss you Kimbo

Lots of love and thanks to you both for the love you gave to this lovely boy, I don't know how you do it. Thank you for your kind messages. There were signs of him slowing up and he was not always so eager to eat his meals. For quite some time now he would eat his food out of my cupped hand. I can still feel that slobbery tongue you know! I think we kept him a little longer than we should have but he was in no pain just getting weaker. I have always had a great fondness for my boys. Despite having my six demanding girls it seems very quiet without him . It is the little routines that cause the sadness. For example Patsy and Kimbo always came to do the early morning chicken tasks what ever the weather. Trevor said that when I went out he would go and stand at the gate to the chicken section because that is always where he thought I was when he could not find me. Lovely memories of a special boy! Mary x

Oh Dear Mary and Trevor. So sorry you've had to let poor Kimbo go. I was always amazed how quickly he turned around in your care, he was such a little "scrap of a chap" when we met up I never dreamed there would be nearly two years of reciprocal love. As for the boys v girls, I only have one of each at the mo. but deep down it's boys everytime for me! Thoughts are with you all. x
