My dear friend and neighbour Kathy travelled to Russsia and climbed Mount Elbrus, the highest mountain in Europe.
Mount Elbrus is 5642 metres high (18510 feet) and the climb took 10 days. Kathy funded the whole trip herself.
Kathy raised sponsorship on behalf of two charities dear to her heart, Y Bwythyn Pallative Care Unit in Pontypridd and FOARCT. Tonight we have received a cheque for 50% of the sponsorship raised which is an amazing £631.
Thank you so much Kathy. Life has been so very tough for you in these last months and you are one very special lady.
