Poor Ben our little Yorkie that came into rescue with his girlfriend, Pepsi, has left us for the bridge. He was a real character and always full of fun. When Pepsi left us, he pined and so we found him a lovely quiet little Yorkie friend called Lucy. They bonded straight away and were great pals. On Thursday through the early hours, he starded to cough and woke a few times. He was unsettled and restless. I took a call from Ray and Tina at 7.45 am and we arranged to take him to see our vet. I hadnt had time to get dressed, when the phone rang again. It was Tina giving me the bad news that Ben had actually given out a huge sigh, and closed his eyes for the last time. When I arrived at 8.30 he was wrapped in a blanket and cwtched up on Tina's lap. He looked like he was sleeping and was so peaceful. Ben was nearly 15years old and had been fit and healthy all his life. Poor Lucy will be missing her little friend, poor thing. Run free Ben and have fun at the bridge. Say hello to Pepsi, who will be waiting for you I'm sure.

Ben and Pepsi were such special little dogs and came in a long time ago. They had a fab time in their foster home and then when Pepsi went to the bridge it was brilliant that a new little friend came along to be Ben's pal.
Rest well little man all new and fit again. I bet Pepsi was so excited to see you again.

Oh dear, so sad, he was obviously loved so much, brought a tear to my eyes laying wrapped in his Mummys arms, but he is free now and happy with his friend Pepsi I'm sure. Hopefully in time another poor little one will have the love and security that he found in his life. Hugs to all those who knew and loved him.

Sweet dreams Ben it was a pleasure to have known both you and Pepsi, you were such a fab couple when you came to stay with us for a holiday. I hope you are having a lovely reunion and I'm sure you will be very happy together now at the bridge. and to your foster mum and dad who are obviously missing you very much
