Went to one of those get-together things again last night and met up with my old mum. She didn't have any sausages for me this time but I forgave her and let her give me a good scratch.
On the way home I found some shiny foil stuff and inside was this bread with currents in. Umm very tasty. Don't think my human was very pleased she said someone called Phil had baked it and she was going to have it for supper. She didn't have any swoppsies so she remembered the rules and had to let me keep it. Told her she could have one of my favorite chews, the one that has gone nice and soggy with hairs stuck to it, but she didn't want it. How ungrateful can you get.

Talk to the paw. I am one very unhappy pooch. Mu human went and put me in kennels instead of taking me with her on a trip to the smoke. That's London, for you uncool types. She thought I didn't know but I overheard her talking about it to her pal Jan and she didn't even take me there herself in my wheelie thing but put me in her friends. I have given her the cold shoulder since she got back so to make things even worse she took me to see one of those vet people for something she called a booster. The only booster I need is a MacDonald's burger and a sticky bun. Anyway, Dave, this vet person stuck a sharp needle in me but I was a very good boy and didn't try to nip him. He said I have a strong heart and am in good nick for my age. Well I didn't need him to tell me that did I? You only have to look at me to see my trim, toned physic and my handsome, rugged good looks. Seems he went to college for years to be a vet. Bit of a waste of time if you ask me but my human likes him and told me I must be nice to him cos he had to send his own, oldie dog to that bridge place last week. Wonder if he's met up with Cerys? I do miss her.

Ben hasn't been quite right since his chest infection so Eileen took him to see Karen
It turns out that Ben has cushings disease, he doesn't need treatment for this just yet, but probably will in the future
Eileen will be along at some point to after her break to update properly
But as a result of this Ben will now stay with Eileen so that he can remain in Karen's care.
So I'll move this thread over for Ben to join our extra special animals and continue to entertain us with his blog

Hi Fans Got a bit of catching up to do and I know you've missed me but couldn't get my paws on that lappy thing of hers. Told her I need my own one but I don't think she was listening. Nothing new there then . I wasn't asking for a lot, just some nice grub, days out, a very soft squishy bed and the odd stroll around town. I like riding in the wheelie thing and I'm not happy at being left at home. Well who would if you had the company of those silly Lhasa Apsos dogs, Kate, Bella and Milo. They are so dumb they make Pluto look clever. Anyway they did manage to find me one place and it was very nice but I decided I wasn't going to stay so I did my bad boy routine and they sent me back. I've heard them humans say I have issues. What do they know! I just like to have my own way and if those humans forget the rules then it's not my fault. Anyway, thought I would let you know that at long last they've sorted it. I'm staying here! ;DI 've been a bit out of sorts so my human took me to see that vet person. You know the ones, pretend they love us dogs and then do disgusting things to us. They stuck those nasty needles in me and drained my blood and it wasn't even halloween. I heard them talking about liver and thought ooh, good, something nice for supper tonight but it was mine and it is poorly. Well seems I have something called Cushings Disease. I think that makes me even more special so my human has decided to keep me. She knows a good thing when she meets it, just a shame it took a whole year to realise it and now I am one of those Extra Special Dogs. Can't complain though cos we have been out and about all over the country in the wheelie thing. She got the old one fixed as well so now I am a two wheelie household. How cool is that! My human says we must let the other volunteers use one and perhaps their dogs might like to go for a ride. I told her "no way" , There is only one dog on wheels round here but am going to let them have a lend. Well she's been picking up plenty of hairy hounds. Must be one of those, rescue one get one free offers cos there have been dogs coming in left, right and in my bed Been some proper poorly ones too. I don't mind them so much and sometimes other humans offer to help them and they go off to foster homes till they're better. Must be some pretty nice humans I think. We took that Henry up to the smoke yesterday. Now there is one big boy. He told me he has had a bit of a rough time and things were pretty bad for him but some blokes in uniforms came and broke in to where he was living and got him out. He's got a pretty little friend called Pan to play with now, she's a bit of a looker. Nice boy, not quite as handsome as me but then who would be. That poorly pup Layla is on the mend. Felt sorry for the blokie she came from. His own two dogs are poorly now but my human took them to our vets and they stuck them full of needles. Dog lovers. huh! Hope they are going to be ok. That Parvo thing is pretty nasty and his dogs weren't vaccinated so he has some bad luck from doing a good turn and taking in that pup. Better go now cos she is taking me out and about today. Seems we are going to take photos of the dogs, I bet she takes some of me, she can't resist. Been so busy with the gossip I forgot to tell you how I'm feeling. Fancy me forgetting to talk about me, that's got to be a first Had a bit of a fall the other day when I tried to have a gallop around and hurt my leg. Ok, I know it wasn't her fault but I had to bite someone My legs a bit better now but I know she is planning to take me back to that bloodsucker vet so will let you know how I get on. She says I need a haircut as my coat is a mess. How rude is that! I told her to get a tasty cheddar and a few sausages and I just might let that nice Nicola lady get near me, but watch what she's doing with those scissors. I've already had my boys bits snipped, I don't want to go losing anything else.

Hi Fans,
Sorry I have not been in touch for a while but my human has been a bit busy and wouldn't let me use the laptop when she's not around. She says I knocked it on the floor a few weeks ago and it had to go to be mended. I told her don't blame me, if she wants to bring horrid homeless pups in to the house then I cannot be responsible if I go off in a huff and things get broken.
Been a bit sad here. That grumpy old boy Benji was pretty poorly and now my human says he has gone to that bridge place. Thats where my friend Cerys the Westie went and some of the others. I hope it's a bit warmer than here and they're not too mean with the treats. I think his old mum may be waiting there for him so I guess he will be wagging that blinking big tail of his. Bit quiet without him sounding off every time someone is in the kitchen. The sound of a cupboard opening would set him off just in case something nice was coming his way.
Got myself a new girlfriend called Jilly. Bit of a looker I can tell you and I know she thinks I'm the kiddy. That Sam has come to stay and have to say he's pretty nice so I think I might let him stay till someone with some sense comes along to snap him up.
Bye for now as I'm off to look for one of those nice new jumpers a kind person sent in. I hope there's a red one.
