Hi guys - yes I'm back, and it has been too long, but it is time for another Eddie update (well, long overdue, actually).  This picture was taken when Eddie last went to the vets for a booster. When we go, we have to wait in the car - not because he flips out at other dogs, but because he is a big, fat tart who loves nurses! He has been known to slip a harness and a lead so he can run behind the counter and climb on the lap of is favourite vet nurse, Adele.  Likes a woman in uniform, does my boy, and he never forgets a face. Eddie has now reached the stage where he no longer goes to the toilet at night, and doesn't really need his crate anymore, although I allow him constant access to it. This will still be a necessity in his new home, which I know is out there somewhere. Ideally, this home will also have another dog to play with, preferably a girl. His energy levels are under control a little more now he is getting a little older, but he is still a loon when you show him a lead. You could take him out three times a day and he will still want to go out with all the enthusiasm of a kid at Christmas, so his new home will need to be active. Eddie loves meeting people, which is probably why he loves going out, but can be a little over exhuberant at times. He is generally friendly with most dogs he meets, and is normally a good judge of character when it comes to both people and other dogs. Eddie is also protective of people he bonds with, but don't take that as a bad thing - he won't start a fight for the hell of it, but if you were out with him and someone tried to mug or attack you, they wouldn't stand a chance - once this boy has bonded with you, he will be your friend for life. I will get some more pics for you all soon, and I promise I won't leave it as long next time...... ;D |
