Benji has been a little out of sorts in the last couple of weeks and had lost some weight. He has been eating well but has been a little more vacant than usual and then at the weekend I realsied he was leaking urine. I took him to the vets this morning with a urine sample thinking new stones had formed in his bladder. I was shocked when the vet told me he had a large mass on his liver and they kept him in for a scan. The results were not good and this afternoon I went to hold my boy whilst he slipped away. I hadn't realised how much I loved this grumpy old man and his bed is very empty without him. Bless you Benji you old rogue, I know you mum will be there waiting for you.

So sorry to hear this, Eileen - I know that Ben and Shadow were both very special for you from the moment you first heard about them. Sleep tight, Ben, and stick close to your Mum, who must be so pleased to see how well you have been looked after.

Thanks so much everyone. Things are very quiet here without him bumbling around. He would always bark whilst waiting for his food or when I was getting mine so breakfast seems strange without him doing his dance.
