Aaaah Glenice.. Now I know.. I clicked somewhere and came across 'recent posts'.. I wondered how I always had replies from you.. THANK YOU!
I actually thought that what I was writing was only going on to Daisy's pages. Now I can see them on public forum..
In a way it's good that I have found my way there.. I've been reading about all the heart melting shih-tzu's.. I'd only seen them when they were posted on facebook.
I immediately went into my 'who's looking to be cared for' mode!!!
I'm so limited, because I live in a flat!! Can't have a barky dog.. I've got my own, big, fenced off garden and door entry.. Just don't want neighbours complaints about dogs barking.. Kela & Daisy only barked briefly at door knocks and sometimes passing dogs!
So yes. Seems like i'm already on the lookout for another foster child!

And why not,you did all you could for Daisy, and she would want another needy little soul to have the life and love that she had,so I will be watching for your next foster, and how lucky they will be. ? Glenice.

Sorry to "butt in" Keladaisy and Redgypsy but I've just read Daisy's story and although saddened to hear she has now left you I am also pleased to read that you are contemplating fostering another needy little dog again. You are obviously such a caring, sensitive person that any dog coming into your home will be very lucky indeed......

No problem, and not butting in,there are so many little lost souls that need love, and I am sure as each of our pets cross the bridge they hope some other little soul will get the love that they have enjoyed.they never leave us,as they leave footprints on our hearts.

Thank you, Herbiesmum.. You're not butting in.. None of us would be here reading posts if we didn't have a love for our pets.. reading about Daisy shows you care..
I knew when I had her that she was at least 13, so I only expected to have her for 2-3 yrs.. anything longer would have been a bonus. Alas, it was only 9 months.. She was never 'active' from day 1.
Daisy and Kela grew closer, which was lovely to see. She was my 1st 'Foster' dog, and I loved her!!
I loved 'caring' for Daisy and I would do it over and over again.
If I was a lot younger, I would love to foster Betty - Bella - Betsy(?), (I read so many), the lovely dog with wheels acting as her back legs.. Oh, how I'd love to be her carer.
Realisation has hit me. This is a 5* nursing home for small dogs, as long as any treatment they may need doesn't hurt them a tiny bit.
I hate Kela wincing when she has her anal glands emptied, Though I think it may hurt me more than her.
So thank you for your interest, It's great talking to other animal lovers..

One of my Jrs has to have her anal glands emptied on a regular basis, she does not bother at all, perhaps its a relief for her,my other JR does not have this problem so not food based.

Hmm.. Sorry, I just asked you about your dogs, I thought you had yorkies, maybe that's Herbiesmum..
Looking at the photo you posted, they still both look young.. would never have thought they were 9- 10 yrs old.. I think you should adopt Millie to make a threesome..
And yes, Kela is my 1st ever dog that has needed her glands emptied on a regular basis, usually monthly, sometimes after only a fortnight..
Vet charge: £18 for a 10 second job!!

Wow that is steep,I pay £ 12 and vet checks their nails so if the odd one or two wants doing she does them all included in the £ 12.

I'd have thought they all charged the same.. Think I read £12 just for nails clipped at our vets.. not 100% sure but will check next time we go there.
The lovely lady that clips Kela also trims her nails.. her ears are cleaned as well.. all for £20.. and she does an excellent job.

Kela hasn't had a new friend since you left.. Though we're looking... hoping.. I've got photos of you, and you'll never be forgotten.. Placid, sweet, gentle Daisy.. we were so lucky to have you, to fall in love with you, even if only for a short time.. 'Our Daisy'.. RCT's & mine.. x x x
