Oscar has now been living with us for almost a week now and so I thought it's about time I sent an update. He's settled in really well and certainly makes his presence known. We are pleasantly surprised that he's sleeping right through the night for about 8 hours, but the downside is that he snores like a bull elephant! He's so friendly with everyone he meets and is slowly persuading our dog Sam that he can be gentle as well as the house joker. I will send some pics as soon as I can work out how to!

Hi all, I have just joined and was persuadedencouraged to do so by Cher lol This seems to be a very nice, small but perfectly formed rescue that really takes trouble to rehome its dogs very carefully and with all the Vet things necessary done first. I live in deepest N.E. Suffolk with my husband and 4 rescue dogs and 4 rescue cats and no I am not allowed anymore lol but I still enjoy hearing about what is happening and helping if/when I can. The dogs are :- Bobby Bichon aged about 13 Pebbles Poodle aged 10 Talli Bichon aged 7 Sammy Trailhound aged 11 Peggy cat aged 13 Garfield cat aged 2 Princess cat aged 2 Charlie cat aged 1 (picture from when he was a kitten)

Hi, Just a few lines to introduce myself. I live in County Durham in the North East. My husband and I are retired. We have two bichons - both entire males and both about a year old. We lost our previous bichon and our pyrenean mountain dog last August and October after many happy years and couldn't cope with being a dog-free zone.
Scruffy came to us from a home with 6 resident children and 5 daily visiting children and consequently, apart from being house trained, had no training at all. Toby came to us from his breeder, where he had been returned following a marital breakdown. They are a pair of teenage tearaways who we love very much.

Hi all don't know if you remember me Eileen but we have adopted 2 dogs from you in the past, one being Mollie a little Shizu and a little westie. Unfortunately, we lost Mollie about 4 years ago but we like to think we made her last couple of years a lot happier than her previous years. The little Westie (Mack) is still going strong and is such a lovable little chap. I also did a couple of home checks for you here in Southampton. I am so pleased to see how you have grown over the last few years, the work you and your volunteers do is amazing. We will be moving shortly so hopefully we will be in touch to adopt another of your little darlings (hopefully a little Lhaso!!!!). Keep up the good work and we will be in touch soon.

Yes of course I remember you and Mollie and Mac. I think you may have emailed me when you lost Mollie but it is great to hear Mac is doing well. He came to us via Bev whi is Bear on here so I know she will be overjoyed to hear he is still going strong.
Things have changed a bit in the last few years and it is wonderful that there are now so many people helping which of course means that we can take in so many more animals especially the poorly ones.
I still have my three Lhasa's Kate, Bella and Milo although Kate is a bit of an old lady now. Brilliant to hear from you and would be great to have some pics of Mac.

Hey Eileen been browsing round your website and the work you and your staff are doing is amazing ...... I only wish we lived closer so we could help you. I will certainly get some pics of Mac put on here but will have to wait for my daughter to help cos I dont have a clue how to do them!! There is a lovely one of him on Facebook with a Chelsea sticker (not my idea) so as soon as Sarah has some time I will get her onto it. Sarah has just had her 18th birthday (where has the time gone???) she has just finished college and is now working at a local holiday centre here in the New Forest as an activities co-ordinator which hopefully will lead her on to a holiday rep or working at a holiday camp somewhere either here or abroad. Anyway keep up your amazing work and we will contact you shortly about adopting another little doggie from you xx
