Name: Alfie
Age: 10 years old
Breed: Scottish Terrier
Can I live with Children: yes loves gentle children
Can I live with cats: No
Can I live with other dogs: Yes
Fostered In: South Wales
Alfie came into us from a family that had to make the difficult decision to rehome him as their family circumstances had change. He has been a much-loved pet and is the happiest, waggiest boy you could meet
People – Alfie loves people and being around people. He will follow you around all day wagging his tail and joining in with your adventures in life. He is a fantastic companion dog.
Dogs – Alfie is living with other dogs, but due to issues with his legs he does prefer calmer dogs that won't jump on him. He lived with 2 other dogs in his previous home.
Cats – No to cats he will chase
In the home – Alfie is house trained and is very much a lap dog. He is quite a big Scottie, so you will need a larger lap to accommodate him.
Health - Alfie has bowed front leg and has always had a deformed elbow. Birth defect from a puppy.
He has had various treatments in the past - acupuncture and hydrotherapy and various medication. He has never been in that much discomfort and decided with the vets to manage as he gets older and feels uncomfortable.
He has always had a sensitive tummy and we have fund him to do best on the Harrington’s dried food.
Out and about – Alfie still manages to run around and be active. Can only manage one walk a day or two short walks as he will overdo it and be in discomfort with his legs.
Type of home – We are looking for a calm household for this wonderful lad. He would love a garden and a home with someone around most of the time as he loves to be with his humans and pottering. He does like a more sedate life and won’t be doing any marathons, but most importantly a home that can give him the happiness that he brings to everyone around him.
Alfie is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in South Wales
