Name: Elf and Mary
Age: c. 8 years old
Breed: Bichon Frise
Can I live with Children: Older children 8 plus
Can I live with cats: Not tested
Can I live with other dogs: Yes but happier as a pair
Fostered In: South Wales
Elf and Mary are aged around 8 years old and are the most adorable pair of Bichons. They are being fostered in RCT, South Wales, and have very different characters. They are both very funny and, once they get to know you, are loving and affectionate. Mary is definitely the more confident dog, despite being blind in one eye, and Elf relies on Mary for reassurance. Both will come and watch you no matter what you are doing and Elf loves a game of chase.
People – Mary enjoys human interaction although Elf can take a little time to get used to people and will remain by Mary’s side until then.
Dogs – Mary will play with other dogs. Elf will do the same but will take a little longer than Mary to instigate play.
Cats – Not cat tested
In the home – As a bonded pair they are fine to be left. They will occupy each other but Elf will certainly let you know when she is bored. . As ex-breeders they are getting used to living in a house and their housetraining is a work in progress.
Out and about – Both enjoy being out and about and walk well on their leads.
Type of home – They need to stay together as they are a bonded pair. They can live with other dogs with no issues, but they deserve a home where it’s just the two of them. Although they can be left a part time working home would be better so they get the attention they deserve. Elf and Mary love walks but they don’t need an active home - a short walk a day would do them as they love just lying in bed watching the world go by. They would like a flat garden with no steps as they aren’t familiar with these!
Elf and Mary are neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with their flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet them in their foster home in South Wales
