Name: Perry
Age: 7/8 years old
Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Can I live with Children: Yes
Can I live with cats: Not tested
Can I live with other dogs: Yes, a must
Fostered In: RCT
Perry is around 7-8 years old and is a wonderful, well mannered Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is being short-term fostered in RCT South Wales. He was a puppy farm stud dog and he came to us in a dreadful state. Glad to say he is well on the mend now although his ears will need ongoing attention with our vets.
Perry is a delightful boy who’s personality is really starting to show through. He loves his grub, he loves his humans and he is really starting to enjoy his walks.
People – Perry loves everyone although he is more used to being around adults he doesn’t have a bad bone in his body. He will approach anyone and is happy to be touched and cuddled.
Dogs – Perry loves doggy company and he will need at least one other brother or sister for company and to help him with his transition in to pet hood.
Cats – Perry has not lived with a cat but seems indifferent to them when he sees them.
In the home – Perry sleeps on his humans bed, is housetrained and spends most of his day sleeping as befits a gentleman of his status. He loves his food but, with only one decent tooth in his head, he likes to take his time. Perry can be left for short periods but he is very human dependant now and can fret if the absence is to often or prolonged
Out and about – Perry prefers to walk off lead but will walk with a harness in preference to a collar. He can be let off lead in parks and fields as he will not stray far from his human.
Type of home – Perry needs a long term foster home with someone who is present most of the time and understands his limitations. His ears need constant attention and he will need frequent visits to our vets in South Wales. For this reason, potential homes will need to be in the South Wales area.
Perry is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in Rhondda Cynon Taff
