Name: Carol
Age: 8 years old
Breed: Bichon Frise
Can I live with Children:No
Can I live with cats: Not tested
Can I live with other dogs: Yes
Fostered In: Stone, Staffordshire
Carol is a very timid, 8-year old ex-breeding Bichon Frise who is being fostered in Stone, Staffordshire. She is now ready to embark on the next stage of her life. Most things frighten her at the moment and she needs a special home with people who understand her needs and will give her the space and time to come out of her shell.
People – Carol is timid around men but will settle. She doesn’t like strangers and will shy away bark and grumble. She is very wary of women in general which will have something to do with her horrendous past. Children will be too busy for Carol.
Dogs – Carol has only met the dogs in her foster home and is fine with them . She will lie with them and follow them round so a resident calm dog is a must so that they can help her gain in confidence and learn all about living in a home.
Cats – Not tested with cats
In the home – Carol can be left with other dogs for short periods but can be destructive chewing cushions if left for too long. She eats her food in a crate by choice.
Out and about – Carol is still too timid to go out on walks where there are busy streets, people or strange noises. We would suggest starting her walking in a quiet country location where she can gain confidence.
Type of home – Carol needs a very patient person, preferably male, who is at home for the most part and preferably a quiet home not too many people around until she has progressed. Given plenty of time Carol will make a very loyal companion for someone
Carol is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Stone, Staffordshire
