Eloise is an 8-week old (on 12/05/2018) Lurcher puppy who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. She is a whippet cross so we are not expecting her to grown especially large.
People – Eloise is a typical fun-loving puppy. She loves people, young and old, big or small, but as usual with puppies care will need to be taken around younger children as she may nip in play when excited.
Dogs – Eloise is fine around other dogs. She lives with several and will happily live with one in her new home. Any dogs in her new home will have to be puppy tolerant though and not too old that she is going to be a nuisance to them!
Cats – Eloise is a lurcher and will have an instinct to chase, however, she is also a puppy and with training would probably be able to live with a dog-savvy cat.
Out and about – We haven’t yet been able to take her out and about as she hasn’t received all of her vaccinations. Her new adopter will have to work on her training and socialisation and even enrol her in puppy training classes. She will probably be a fairly active girl and enjoy regular walks and off-lead runs to burn off that energy.
In the home - Eloise’s housetraining will need work and potential adopters will have to be prepared for accidents. As she starts teething she may start chewing and doing all the normal naughty puppy things – something else to be aware of! A good-sized flat garden would be ideal for her so she can play zoomies and lay out in the sunshine to her heart’s content.
Type of home – Eloise is looking for a home where her humans are around for the majority of the day as she is only a baby. Any children in the house should be five and over and used to dogs. A relatively active home where she will be part of the family would be perfect for Eloise and where she has regular walks/runs and a good-sized garden to enjoy.
Eloise hasn’t yet completed her course of vaccinations but she is microchipped, flea and worm treated. It will be a condition of adoption that she is spayed at 6 months old and this will be followed up to ensure it has been carried out. Potential adopters will be expected to visit Eloise in her foster home in RCT, South Wales.
