Name: Roxy
Age: 5 years old
Breed: Pug
Can I live with Children: Yes
Can I live with cats: No
Can I live with other dogs: No, Roxy needs to be an only dog
Fostered In: South Wales
Roxy is a 5-year old Pug, who is being fostered in South Wales. This girl has sass. She will bark at any animals on the television and loves to watch TV. In the garden she will chase all the birds in the sky and bark and run into buildings because she’s busy looking at the sky. Ahh bless, we’ve all been there!
People – Roxy loves people of all shapes and sizes. She loves cuddles and is very good with children. She loves to lick you and nibble ears. She loves her tummy to be tickled constantly.
Dogs – No other dogs for Roxy. She is aggressive towards them when they enter her personal space.
Cats – No to cats.
In the home – Roxy is left for up to four hours per day and is happy as long as she is walked before and after. She is wonderfully gentle. She does like to suckle soft toys though. She can be quite “clingy”. She will happily sleep on sofa without following you around once she is settled. Roxy currently sleeps downstairs alone behind a stairgate. She does wake up at about 7am and cries but she has a wee outside then returns to mums bed for cuddles and goes back to sleep until you wake her! She likes to sleep on the little wooden shoe cupboard at the bottom of the stairs. Even though she has a comfy sofa she still prefers to be on the wooden box. Her foster parents have put a little dogs bed on the box and she’s very happy there. We think this is because she can see them coming down the stairs in the morning and needs to be in the know.
Out and about – She is excellent both on and off lead. Unless she sees another dog then she will chase after them. She also likes cars but adopters please note, she will jump into any car that has an open door.
Type of home – She loves to be outside walking, she enjoys walks at least four times a day. She has lost of lot of weight which was needed. This needs to be maintained. She loves to cuddle on your lap and watch tv. She would suit an active person who has a lot of time to cuddle with her as she is quite clingy after leaving her previous home.
Roxy will not be re-homed until she is neutered in May. She is chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in South Wales.
