Can we ask for your prayers and positive thoughts and wishes for Betty our oldie Boxer. She was a stray that came to us from the local pound a couple of months ago and tests found she has Diabetes insipidus (DI) a rare disorder that affects water metabolism, preventing the body from conserving water and releasing too much of it. She also has a mass in her rectum that is inoperable but we decided that we would continue with treatment as long as she is happy and comfortable. The last couple of days she has been unwell and has today been admited to our vets and tests have shown she has pancreatitis. How sad that she was abandoned in her old age just when she needed the love and care of her owners most. Her condition will be monitored and she will be treated for this and hopefully will be able to return to her foster home in a couple of days. Betty needs the angels on her side more than ever. We also visited beautiful oldie Betty when at the vets today. She is receiving treatment for pancreatitis and is comfortable. Another guarded prognosis for this old lady but we will give her every possible chance.

Update: Our Betty isn't very happy with us today (01/06/2015) because we made her go to the vets and have a lump removed from her booby. This is the look we had after helping her up onto the sofa when we got her home

That look is a confused look, bless her, she is wondering what happened? A couple of hours rest and I am sure she will be much brighter. How is she today,?
Glenice.
