Poor Sparky despite having a fabulous new family who loved him he wasn't happy, he was missing the companionship of the other dogs. His new family were so worried about him, he wouldn't eat and and was moping all day, so they asked their homechecker for some advise. The homechecker took their dog along on a visit to see Sparky and offer advice on how to help Sparky feel at home. But the dog got a bit jealous when it's master gave Sparky a treat and nipped out at poor Sparky.
The following day Sparky was really poorly, so poorly in fact that his new mum and dad called out the emergency vet that night in fear of losing poor Sparks. when the vet examined Sparky he found a nasty puncture wound on his ear, he gave Sparky an antibiotic injection and some pain meds. He also said that Sparky was suffering from shock. Thankfully Sparky improved quickly, but he still wasn't happy, still not eating any of the delicious human foods on offer, so his new mum and dad made the heartbreaking decision to bring him back to me. They had thought really hard and decided it was in Sparky's best interest that he come back with me and my gang to complete his recovery and then to find his ideal home where he will have another dog for company and someone home all day.
It was a very upsetting time all round, for Sparky and the family.
Sparky has been back to our vet this week and is on further antibiotics, but he is now more like the Sparky we had.
Such a shame it didn't go right for him and the family, who would have given him a lovely home, if only he could have been happy there.

Poor boy dogs will be dogs and some times they can be jealous and I feel bad for the people who wanted him because I remember you saying how much they liked him. I hope they don't feel bad they did the right thing I hope he feels better soon x x

I've never had Sparky out offlead, living half way up a mountain with alsorts of wildlife and sheep as a temtation and him being a terrier
his recall is good in the garden and he tends to stick by us most of the time, he did chase the cat in his recent home, although he totally ignored my daughters on his visit there. So it's difficult to say if he would chase off after things all the time or just when he felt like it

Sparky is another one of our special older gents looking for a place to call home with that someone special and another dog for company he has fully recovered from his ordeal now and likes telling my little lot what he wants them to do. He likes to snuggle up the sofa sometimes, but prefers his lovely snuggly bed.

Sparky is still looking for that extra special place to call his own he prefers his humans to be around for most of the time, I have had to leave him with the others for several hours, when going up to the eye hospital with Erin and Mace and Sparky isn't too happy when I come home. he likes to follow me or Phil around or just be close to us. he likes to have other dogs around him and gets along with my lot, I think an older dog would be better for him He's still very fond of his human foods and a cup of tea or should I say Phil's tea, if Phil's not looking Sparky will sneak over to the cup.

Here's hoping he soon finds the perfect home. I feel for the family that had to decide to let him go - but their decision was selfless an full of love. Hope they find their perfect pooch soon.
