Sheila and Colin have been to see the vet.
Sheila has a heart murmur grade 4-5 and will need to go on medication. This si on the higher end of th scale. Colin has been diagnosed as Spinabifida. He is on the lower end of the scale and has control of his bladder and bowels which is good news. He does not require any speciall treatment but his weight will need to be watched as his coordination of his back legs is a little out.

Oh bless her that's quite a big heart murmur but at least there is medication for it. Glad Colin is (reasonably) healthy.
How are they doing?

I think Lucy would like a real friend called Colin! ;D It's funny how well he knows his name already! I do tend to shorten it to Col - it suits him!

I am so sorry to tell everyone that Sheila left for the bridge last night. She has not been very good all week and Jan was really concerned about her. Yesterday I took her to the vets and they kept her in for the day and put her on a drip. They moved her to the main hospital branch last night as they have 24 hour care there. This morning we had a call to say she had slipped away in the night. It seems her heart just stopped.
Jan and I are devastated, such a wonderful little dog.
On top of that Geordie has been out of sorts for a few days and off his food. I managed to get him to eat some tuna yesterday but last night he was sick. Jan came and got me in her 4 wheel this morning and we took him to the vets. Things are not looking very hopeful but we have gone ahaead with blood tests and he has had 3 injections to help make him more comfortable. With losing Benji and and Sheila I don't want to face the lose of another one of our special wonky dogs.
